Shoulder & Upper Arm Ultrasound
The shoulder ultrasound is one of the most common joint ultrasounds performed as it is an excellent at diagnosing most causes of shoulder pain and symptoms. It assess the muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints around the shoulder and gives a good idea of how to manage your shoulder problem.

Elbow & Forearm Ultrasound
Indication: Painful or stiff elbow. Ultrasound can assess elbow lumps, the joint, muscles, tendons and ligaments around the elbow joint. Diagnose tennis or golfer’s elbow.
Hand & Wrist Ultrasound
Assess the complex multiple joints, tendons, ligaments, lumps involving the hands and wrist to identify the cause of pain, symptoms or stiffness. Commonly used in looking for inflammation in joint conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis.
Armpit (Axilla) Ultrasound
Lumps and bumps in the armpit can be alarming and sometimes a sign of cancer and can be diagnosed using ultrasound.

Foot, Ankle & Heel Ultrasound
We will assess various ligaments, tendons and joints of the foot and ankle. This includes Achilles tendon and plantar fascia to diagnose the cause of your symptoms.
Hip Ultrasound
Assess the hip joint and surrounding tendons to identify the cause of pain or symptoms.
Thigh Ultrasound
Thigh Ultrasound – Assess the thigh muscles for tears, lumps, and tendon inflammation.
Knee Ultrasound
Various tendons, ligaments and lumps can be assessed very well on ultrasound. We will assess for Quadriceps tear, patella tendon tear, tendon inflammation, joint swelling and inflammation.
Calf Ultrasound
Assess the muscles and tendons of the calf and diagnose any lumps and bumps.
Leg DVT Scan

The doctor will use the ultrasound probe with a water-based jelly to examine the injury. The scan will produce images which the doctor will interpret and use to give a diagnosis. The procedure is not painful.
Due to COVID working practices, you can bring one person to accompany you in the scanning room.
There will also be a qualified chaperone present in the scan room along with the doctor.
Please dress appropriately to allow for easy access to the body part/joint being examined with ultrasound.
